ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando drivers will soon see fewer traditional parking meters downtown.
The city says it expects to complete the removal of meters by Oct. 1 as it shifts to digital parking payments through ParkMobile.
Drivers are being urged to check posted signs during the transition, since rates, time limits and payment methods may vary by location.
Beginning Oct. 1, the city also plans to change parking rates, enforcement hours and citation fees.
Visitors can use the ParkMobile app to pay for parking and extend a session without returning to their vehicle.
