Pedestrian killed attempting to cross busy intersection, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car Saturday night while attempting to cross a busy intersection.

The accident happened at the intersection of International Drive and Sand Lake Road in Orange County at 8:05 p.m.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 37-year-old woman was crossing International Drive on a green light and was hit by a car traveling through the intersection.

The woman was transported to the hospital, where she later died.
