ORLANDO, Fla. — A group of protesters rallied for abortion rights Saturday in Orlando.
The protest was held outside of Orlando City Hall and came one day after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
The court’s ruling ends 50 years of federal abortion rights, giving states the power to decide whether abortion is legal.
Protest organizers and attendees said they were going to get to work to get the ruling reversed.
Local representatives and others also gathered Friday night at the Renaissance Theatre Company in Orlando to speak out against the Supreme Court’s ruling.
Channel 9 is monitoring ongoing local reactions to the overturning of Roe v. Wade and will have continuing coverage on Eyewitness News.
