Rewards in the shooting deaths of 2 Orange County boys increased to $20K each

ORLANDO, Fla. — The rewards in the shooting deaths of two Orange County boys have been increased to $20,000 each, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said Friday afternoon.

The increased rewards are courtesy of donations made by the Florida Sheriffs Association and the Sheriff’s Office.

Crimeline initially offered rewards of $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the Sept. 21 shooting death of Denis Joshua Atkinson, 14, and the Sept. 22 shooting death of Daquane Felix Jr., 3.

FSA offered another $5,000 to the rewards for each case and the Sheriff’s Office offered $10,000 to each reward.

Investigators said Atkinson was visiting a neighbor when he was shot in a drive-by shooting on Glendale Road.

They said Daquane was killed in a drive-by shooting on Drexel Avenue.

Both shootings happened in the Pine Hills neighborhood.
