Runners gather for ‘Turkey Trot’ in Orlando to help feed local seniors

ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Floridians gathered at Lake Eola on Thanksgiving for the annual Seniors First Turkey Trot 5K.

Runners were at the starting line on Robinson Street early Thursday, despite the morning fog.

Some attendees even dressed up in turkey costumes for the occasion.

The first runners took off at 8 a.m. with walkers and others following behind them.

This was the 33rd year for the fun run.
