These shows are returning to Walt Disney World this summer

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — More entertainment is heading back to Walt Disney World, the resort announced this week.

Four favorites are expected to return soon:

  • Starting Aug. 1, The Wonderful World of Animation will again light up the night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Projection mapping technology will transform the park’s iconic Chinese Theater into a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation.
  • On Aug. 15, “Beauty and the Beast — Live on Stage” returns to the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
  • Mike Wazowski will begin welcoming humans back to Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor at Magic Kingdom beginning Aug. 8.
  • Turtle Talk with Crush returns to Epcot on Aug. 21.

Disney also announced that this summer would be the last time to catch two nighttime fireworks shows.

Epcot Forever will conclude its limited-time run on Sept. 28, and Happily Ever After will end Sept. 29. The shows will be replaced with Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom and Harmonious in Epcot on Oct. 1 as part of the resort’s 50th anniversary.
