Witnesses told the Florida Highway Patrol that the driver of the Mercedes appeared to be going over the speed at the time of the crash.

According to troopers, the Mercedes failed to slow down or stop before the driver crashed in the back of a semi-truck with no trailer.

The impact caused the semi-tuck to go off the road, hit a guardrail, enter an embankment and overturn before coming to a rest.
