Police: Driver arrested after plowing into Milk District business, falsely claiming he was carjacked

ORLANDO , Fla. — Orlando police are investigating after a two-car crash damaged a local business.

The crash happened on Robinson Street, near Bumby Avenue, just after 1:30 a.m. Monday.

According to investigators, a black Honda Civic and a red Nissan Altima collided on Robinson Street, sending the Altima into the building.

Police said the driver of the Altima left the scene of the crash in another car.

The driver and passenger in the Civic stayed at the scene and told officers they were injured but chose not to go to the hospital.

Just before 3 a.m., officers were dispatched to a different location to meet with Brandan McIntyre, 18, who said he was the victim of a carjacking.

Officers said the investigation led officers to determine that McIntyre was the driver of the Altima involved in the crash.

McIntyre was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, leaving the scene of a crash with injuries and making a false report to law enforcement authorities.

The crash remains under investigation.
