Police identify 15-year-old boy shot and killed near Orlando elementary school

ORLANDO, Fla. — Police in Orlando are looking for a gunman after a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Saturday.

6:40 p.m. update:

Orlando police confirmed Sunday night that the teen who was shot and killed Saturday was 15-year-old Corey Jones.

Police also released a photo of victim Sunday night.

No other details were released by law enforcement.

Police are investigating after a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Saturday night in Orlando.

Orlando police said officers responded to the 800 block of Grand Street at 5:39 p.m. for an unknown trouble call. While at the scene officers located a 15-old-year who had been shot.

The juvenile victim was taken to the hospital and he was later pronounced dead.

This is an ongoing investigation.
