Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital hosts inaugural Passport to Prevention event

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital hosted its first “Passport to Prevention” event to help connect community members with breast health resources and screenings.

The free event was held Oct. 27 in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Attendees were able to meet physicians and members of the hospital’s breast imaging team, tour the Breast Imaging Center and learn more about local breast health services. Guests could also schedule future screening appointments.

The event focused on breast cancer awareness, early detection and the importance of routine screenings.

This year’s event featured a Paris theme along with wellness activities, including complimentary hand and chair massages and a flower bar.

Organizers said they plan to continue the “passport” concept in future years with different destinations and themes.
