ORLANDO, Fla. — Thousands of runners and walkers will gather in downtown Orlando this Thanksgiving for the 37th annual Seniors First Turkey Trot 5K.
The race will begin at 8 a.m. Nov. 26 at Lake Eola Park. Proceeds will support Meals on Wheels and other Seniors First programs serving older adults across Central Florida.
Day-of registration will open at 6:30 a.m., followed by a costume contest at 7 a.m. and a turkey call contest at 7:45 a.m. A Kids Tot Trot is scheduled for 9:15 a.m.
Organizers said the event typically attracts about 5,000 participants, many wearing costumes and Thanksgiving-themed attire.
“One morning at Lake Eola can make a difference for seniors throughout the year,” Seniors First President and CEO Marsha Lorenz said.
Seniors First said it served more than 4,100 older adults in 2025, providing more than 427,000 meals and nearly 83,500 pounds of food through its Community Food Pantry.
