BRITISH ISLES — A U.S. Navy Seaman who hails from from Central Florida is getting to test his skills overseas.
Seaman Lashawn Jackson, of Orlando, is stationed aboard the USS Paul Ignatius (DDG 117) in the British Isles.

The ship is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer.
Jackson performs multiple duties while on the ship; he was recently photographed while hard at work, stowing line.

The U.S. Navy said its crew, including Seaman Jackson, recently took part in a live-fire integrated air and missile defense exercise.

The goal of the exercise is to improve Allied interoperability using NATO command and control reporting structures.
