Ormond Beach woman allegedly pointed gun at lawn care worker

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A Volusia County woman is accused of pointing a gun at a lawn-care worker because he made too much noise and woke her up.

The victim, Carlos Repicio, told Channel 9's Blaine Tolison he was just blowing grass off the sidewalk on Oriole Circle in Ormond Beach Monday when the incident happened.

Repicio said he and his crew take care of about 100 lawns a day during the summer and he's never run into a problem like this.

According to police, Repicio was working in the Ocean Village Villas community when Gina Briggs confronted him.

"I say, 'I got to work here.' She say, 'I don't care. You got to get out of here because I'm killing you.' And I say, 'What?' And she take the gun out and she point to me like that," said Repicio.

But Repicio said he wasn't scared and tried to calm down Briggs as he turned off his blower.

"I say, 'Are you happy now?' And she say, 'Yeah, but you have to get out of here,'" said Repicio.

The lawn-care worker called police and Briggs was subsequently arrested. She was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and use of a weapon during a felony.
