Girl, 14, boy, 16, die after car hits tree in Osceola County

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A 14-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy were killed in a crash in Osceola County late Sunday.

The deadly crash happened at Osceola Parkway and Seralago Boulevard just before 10 p.m.

Witnesses told troopers that a Chevy Equinox traveled through a grass median, across the southbound lanes and left the roadway.

The car then struck a tree.

The teen boys were ejected and died at the scene. Five people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers said seven people were in the car that had seats for five people.

The crash remains under investigation.
