ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando drivers may see a pink fire truck during their commute Wednesday morning.
The trucks rolled out onto the streets on Tuesday to honor Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The trucks are covered in messages of support for those who have battled cancer.
One survivor told WFTV events like that are important to increase awareness about the early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
"I love the thought of the pink truck driving down the road and people seeing it and it triggering the thought of, 'Oh, I need to go get this checked out or go get my mammogram.' I love the thought of what they are doing," said cancer survivor Ronda Sapashe.
The pink trucks will travel across the nation to spread cancer awareness as part of the pink heals tour.
