ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — Ormond Beach police are hoping surveillance video helps them catch a man who they said robbed a Walmart Thursday and carjacked a teenager.
Investigators said the man walked into the Walmart on West Granada Boulevard, stole a BB gun and then robbed the customer service center.
"We think he was waiting for 30 minutes or longer just for the customer service to clear up before he went and robbed them," Ormond Beach Officer Keith Walker said.
Police said the man left the store, and pointed a gun at a teenager and demanded her keys. %

After she tossed her keys to him, the man got into her dark-colored Ford Fiesta and drove away.
Police say all the victims are OK but shaken up by what happened

“I would have never guessed. I would have no problem coming here during the night, or, you know, any time, even,” said a Walmart shopper identified only as Gloria.
The vehicle was caught on surveillance video in Daytona Beach, just a few hours later.
“I'd let him have my car," Gloria said. “You can replace cars.”
Police said no one was injured during the robbery or the carjacking.
The man was described as a white, heavyset man, wearing a green Polo shirt and black basketball shorts, police said.
