Police search for woman with special needs, 18, who was last seen walking her dog in Ormond Beach

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — Police in Ormond Beach are searching for an 18-year-old woman.

Officers said Sydney Powell disappeared on Monday while walking her dog near Virginia Terrace and Arroyo Parkway.

Her family found the dog but hasn’t seen Powell since.

The family said Powell is autistic and has the mental capacity of a 13-year-old.

She was reported to be wearing jean shorts and a grey tank top.
