ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando Police safely removed a large black bear from a gated apartment complex near Hiawassee Road and Lake Debra earlier this month.
Residents at the complex called officers after spotting the animal near one of the buildings.
Police responded to the property to safely guide the bear away from the residential area.
Officers escorted the bear out of the gated property and directed it toward Lake Debra.
Once at the water, the bear swam across the lake and into a nearby wooded area.
