• Rockledge man charged with attempted murder of wife

    ROCKLEDGE, Fla. - A Rockledge man was arrested Saturday on charges he tried to kill his wife.

    Deputies said David Brevick called 911 about 11:30 p.m. Friday saying that two men had barged into his home and were hurting his wife.

    Deputies said it did not appear that anyone had broken into Brevick's Heron’s Landing Drive home.

    Brevick told them the men were still inside, but deputies didn’t find any intruders.

    They found his wife, Francia Vargas-Brevick, unresponsive on the bedroom floor.

    She was rushed to Holmes Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

    Brevick is being held in jail without bond.
