Scattered storms will ease tonight before afternoon rain returns on Friday

CENTRAL FLA. — Thursday was another day of scattered rain and storms, but some changes are ahead for Friday.

The rain activity will end this evening, with partly cloudy skies overnight. Morning lows will be in the mid 70s.

Slightly lower rain and storm chances are expected to close out the week, but many will still see PM storms. Highs for Friday will be in the mid 90s.

The weekend will feature more active weather. Elevated coverage of PM rain and storms is likely both Saturday and Sunday, with temps in the low 90s.

The threat of rain and storms continues next week, with more PM activity for Monday and Tuesday. Highs to start next week will be in the low 90s.

Some drier air will finally move into the area by mid next week, reducing PM rain coverage to scattered activity.
