ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Investigators are still searching for the driver they said was responsible for a deadly crash that briefly closed State Road 520.
It happened just east of SR 528 in Orange County. The driver fled the scene from the crash on foot.
The driver was heading westbound on the eastbound side of the road when they hit a motorcycle head-on before fleeing the scene, deputies said.
The motorcyclist has only been identified as a man from Orlando in his 60s.
Troopers haven’t yet said if the owner was the driver, and where that driver may have gone.
The bridge where the crash happened is in the middle of the woods, far from any populated areas.
The driver is facing charges.
