Second missing boater's body found in Lake Jesup

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Recovery crews have located the body of a second man who went missing while on a boat in Lake Jesup over the weekend.

The body of Charles Jackson, 26, of Deltona, was found on Friday, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife officers.

Jackson and Jason Cobb, 30, of Osteen, were reported missing Dec. 29 after they failed to return home from a fishing trip on the lake.

Jackson's body was found floating in the lake about halfway between Black Hammock and Bird Island in approximately 6 feet of water.

Cobb's body was found floating near Bird Island earlier this week.

Officers from FWC, deputies from the Seminole and Volusia county sheriff's offices and hundreds of volunteers had been involved in the search since Saturday.
