SEE: Universal to open new theme park in Texas

New Universal theme park Universal Parks & Resorts plans to bring a new concept for families with young children to Frisco, Texas (Universal Parks & Resort)

ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal Parks & Resort has unveiled plans to open a new theme park in Frisco, Texas.

The new park concept will be geared toward families with young children, Universal announced Wednesday.

The park will be surrounded by a lush green landscape and feature “immersive themed lands, celebrates Universal’s iconic brand of entertainment, humor and innovation,” Universal said.

The park will also bring Universal’s beloved characters and stories to life in a way “that will wow even the youngest theme park goers,” Universal said

An opening date and specifics about the park’s attractions were not announced.
