Seminole County man strikes gold, winning $1 million in Florida Lottery scratch-off game

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Seminole County man is a millionaire after winning a $1 million prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED scratch-off game from the Florida Lottery.

James Hart claimed the $1 million prize after purchasing her winning ticket from the Circle K, located at 2690 West State Road 434 in Longwood.

The Longwood man hose to receive his winning as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.

The $20 scratch-off game, launched in September 2021, features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million.

Scratch-off games have made up 77% of tickets sale in the 2021-2022 fiscal years.

Since its inception, scratch-off games have generated more than $17.69 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
