Felon charged with murder after Seminole County man’s body found in burning shed, deputies say

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies have arrested a man for the murder of a 21-year-old man in Seminole County.

The victim’s body was found inside a burning shed last month, just a couple of blocks away from his home.

Lewis Boon, 24, is a felon who had been arrested on weapons charges earlier this month, and he is now facing a murder charge.

Boone said nothing in court Thursday afternoon while facing charges of premeditated murder and destroying evidence.

On April 21, firefighters received a 911 call from a resident of Roseberry Lane in unincorporated Sanford about a shed fire.

After firefighters put out the flames, they discovered a body inside.

The body turned out to be that of 21-year-old Jaylyn McIntyre who had lived a couple of blocks away on Terry Lane. His family had reported him missing.

According to the sheriff’s office, after an extensive investigation and interviews, they determined Boone was the suspect in McIntyre’s murder.

The sheriff’s office has not said what led to the murder.
