SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — New training is underway for a Special Hazards and Operations team in Seminole County.
The team will work on towers to feed people’s demands for data and cell service.

The training could be lifesaving due to an increase of towers in the area.
The Seminole County Fire Department will host the training on a county-owned radio and cell tower.

The department has a goal to provide the community with rescue abilities and training, should hazards arise.

Officials said there have been several recent responses to these types of structures in the Central Florida area in the last month, requiring local fire departments to respond and rescue.
