KISSIMMEE, Fla. — An alert store security officer is credited with helping catch an alleged video voyeur in Kissimmee.
Investigators said the suspect used a cellphone to take video up a teenager’s skirt at the Burlington Coat Factory in Kissimmee on Tuesday.
The loss prevention officer was watching on closed-circuit televisions when he saw Christopher Mendoza use a duffel bag to try and hide his iPhone as he was recording.
Customers were angered to hear what had happened.
“For someone to sit here and put their phones and record what’s underneath—that’s wrong,” said Linda Valado.
But shoppers were happy to hear police were called right away.
Within minutes, officers were outside waiting for Mendoza as he exited the store.
