South Orange Blossom Trail reopens after suspicious device found at auto shop

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orange County Sheriff's Office has reopened South Orange Blossom Trail after a suspicious device was discovered Monday afternoon.

The suspicious device was found at a Tire Kingdom auto repair shop around 4:30 p.m. Orange Blossom Trail was shut down in both directions between Wetherbee Road and Whisper Lakes Boulevard.

The Sheriff's Office said its bomb squad was called out to investigate.

Skywitness 9 was overhead as a robot was used to look inside the open trunk of a car that appeared to be undergoing maintenance at the auto shop.

Investigators have not said what they were examining in the trunk and if it was hazardous.

The road closure caused heavy traffic delays in the area. The road reopened shortly before 7 p.m.
