ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police want your guns — and they’re willing to pay for them.

The Orlando Police Department is holding “Kicks 4 Guns” on Thursday, April 20.
It’s happening at Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center, located at:
- 1723 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32805
Residents can show up between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to turn in a gun for a $50 gift card.

For those who participate, no questions will be asked and no Identification will be required, according to OPD.

KICKS 4 GUNS is happening this Thursday, April 20, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the JR Smith Center, 1723 Bruton Blvd.

Orlando police said the focus of the event is to “remove guns off our streets.”

In March, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office held a similar event and said it collected 87 guns, three of which had been reported stolen.
