ORLANDO, Fla. — Tropical Storm Fay is continuing to weaken over the Atlantic.
Fay is expected to weaken over the next few days as it drifts farther southwest into the central Atlantic.
The storm is expected to remain well away from land, with no threats to the U.S. coastline.
While Fay winds down, forecasters are also watching another area in the Atlantic.
A tropical wave is expected to move off the coast of Africa by Wednesday.
Some slow development will be possible as the system moves westward across the Atlantic.
The National Hurricane Center currently gives the disturbance a 30% chance of development over the next seven days.
Meteorologists will continue to monitor the tropical wave as it moves into the Atlantic.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs through Nov. 30.
