CENTRAL FLORIDA — It was an unsettled Thursday, and we’re now tracking a tropical wave moving in for Friday.
The rain and storms will fade away this evening, but some coastal activity is possible towards daybreak. Morning lows will be in the mid 70s.
A tropical wave will float over Florida Friday. This will create partly sunny skies and periods of rain and storms. Highs to close out the work week will be in the low 90s.
The active weather pattern continues into Saturday. The tropical wave will begin to lift northward but will keep elevated rain and storm chances across the region. Temps for Saturday will be in the low 90s.
The wave exits Sunday, and drier air rushes back into the region. Expect just scattered PM showers and storms on Sunday, with temps in the low 90s.
Even more dry air arrives for the First Day of School for many next week. Just a few widely scattered PM storms are anticipated for both Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the low to mid 90s.
The calmer weather pattern will continue for much of next week, with temps will climbing back into the mid 90s.
