Universal Orlando surprises travelers with Mardi Gras pop-up party at new OIA terminal

ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal Orlando Resort surprised travelers at the Orlando International Airport earlier this month with a pop-up celebration for Mardi Gras.

The event featured performers, stilt walkers, and a five-piece brass band to greet guests arriving in the recently opened Terminal C.

The impromptu party showcased Universal’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval, which takes place at Universal Orlando Resort until April 16.

The event includes a parade, global cuisine inspired by Carnaval celebrations, and live concerts on select nights.

Orlando International Airport hosts over 47 million passengers annually and is only 10 miles away from Universal Orlando Resort.
