DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — In an effort to help more animals find homes for the holidays, the Halifax Humane Society is offering discounted adoption fees through the first half of December.

The push to get more dogs and cats adopted is part of a partnership with BISSELL Pet Foundation and its “Empty the Shelters — Holiday Hope” adoption event, which is hosted in more than 275 shelters in 43 states.

From Dec. 1 to 11, adoption fees are $15 for cats and $25 for dogs at Halifax Humane Society, located at 2364 LPGA Blvd., Daytona Beach.

“With so many great pets waiting in shelters, our ‘Empty the Shelters — Holiday Hope’ event is the perfect opportunity to save a life through adoption and create space to give another homeless pet a chance. If you can’t adopt, please consider fostering,” said Cathy Bissell, founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation.
