Volusia deputies investigating woman’s death as ‘suspicious’ in nature

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a woman’s death Wednesday as suspicious in nature.

Deputies were called to a home on Orange Grove Drive in Ormond Beach just before 3:30 p.m. to check on the woman.

Investigators are in the process of interviewing a second person who was found in the home with the deceased woman.

The sheriff’s office didn’t release any additional details on a possible cause of death for the woman, or what led them to believe the circumstances were suspicious.

Deputies haven’t identified the woman or the person who was found in the home.
