Orange County’s new TDT Citizen Advisory Task Force, which met March 22 for the first time, has shared critical information for anyone who wants some of the lucrative tourist development tax fund — you have to fill out a request form by 11:59 p.m. on April 14.

The group, which is tasked with recommending to county leaders which potential projects or opportunities should get some of the tourist development tax, posted a form entities can use to make a funding request. The hotel tax is collected on hotels, timeshare and other short-term lodging rentals.

The TDT funding application can be found on Orange County’s website. The applications will be discussed at the task force’s April 17 meeting.
