WATCH: Large waterspout forms off Volusia County coast

PONCE INLET, Fla. — A Channel 9 viewer shared video of a waterspout off the coast of Ponce Inlet in Volusia County.

Randy Wilkins said he was outside on his balcony when he spotted the waterspout around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

“It was large and ominous, and clearly visible for at least 15 minutes from our balcony. We were thankful it drifted north before finally dissipating at sea!” Wilkins wrote in an email.

WFTV Meteorologist George Waldenberger said we should see scattered storms moving across most of Central Florida Sunday afternoon and into the early evening.
