WATCH: SpaceX Dragon seen burning through the sky over Central Florida before splashdown

SANFORD, Fla. — A SpaceX Dragon spacecraft was seen streaking across the sky over Central Florida early Wednesday.

The uncrewed Dragon spacecraft was heating up in the atmosphere as it was coming in for a splashdown landing off Florida’s east coast.

The Dragon spacecraft had been docked at the International Space Station for months.

The SpaceX Dragon capsule launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in November.

It was part of the company’s 26th resupply mission, providing items including supplies and scientific experiments to the space station.

The capsule was undocked from the ISS Monday night.

SpaceX confirmed the Dragon successfully returned to Earth and will be returned to Kennedy Space Center.
