Woman found dead inside MetroWest apartment, boyfriend arrested

ORLANDO, Fla.,None — A woman was found dead inside a MetroWest apartment Tuesday morning, said Orlando police. Investigators said 30-year-old Remmi Goyens' death was a homicide.

Goyens' boyfriend was arrested after he showed up at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, police said.

Antoine Bynum was trying to get treatment for his injuries he sustained during some type of struggle with Goyens, said police.

Crime scene investigators were at the scene on Hiawassee Road at the Tradewinds apartments where police said 32-year-old Bynum killed Goyens.

Orlando police said Goyens' brother and mother found her when they walked into her apartment just before 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Orlando police said Goyens and her boyfriend have a history of violence.

Bynum has been in and out of jail since he was 18. Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show Bynum has been arrested once for theft, resisting an officer, and several times for drug possession.  He has been arrested twice for battery.  Bynum was released from state prison early this year.

"He got a violent history, you know what I'm saying. I just pray justice is served in this," said Anthony Goyens, brother of Remmi Goyens.

Goyens's best friend said the couple dated on and off for 15 years.

WFTV was told that Goyens has a 7-year-old daughter.
