Man, sister-in-law find slurs spray-painted on vehicles in New Smyrna Beach

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Officials in New Smyrna Beach are looking for the person(s) responsible for vandalizing the vehicles of a man and his sister-in-law early Wednesday morning.

According to a police report, a man had been advised by his neighbor that he had graffiti spray painted down the side of his truck and that nails were placed under his tires.

Graffiti with similar racial slurs were also spray painted on the vehicle of the man’s sister-in-law in the area of 3000 King Palm Drive.

Both victims told police that they didn’t know of anyone who would commit that crime toward them.

Police said the damage to both vehicles amounts to $2,000 each.
