Man Who Reported Woman Missing Can't Be Found

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — The case of a missing Marion County woman has led to a new investigation. Ada Marie Odell was first reported missing more than a week ago. Now, deputies are searching for her and the man who reported her missing from her Dunnellon home.

The person of interest was Odell's boyfriend and he may be the next best chance deputies have at finding the missing 50-year-old woman.

Odell's boyfriend reported her missing and investigators believe, if they had a chance to sit down with him, he might have information that could lead to finding her.

Marion County deputies continued their search for the 50-year-old woman near her Florida Highlands home in Dunnellon as neighbors watched Friday.

"I don't want anyone just to turn up missing," neighbor Jack Looney said.

Person of Interest Raul Sosa 070910 Raul Sosa Investigators just want to know where to find Odell. Their latest search turned up no new clues.

Odell was reported missing by her boyfriend, Raul Sosa, on July 1. Shortly thereafter, Sosa went to visit relatives in south Florida, where investigators lost contact with him. It's also where Odell's dog Moca was found roaming a neighborhood alone.

Sosa has been a person of interest in the investigation. One of his relatives told investigators Sosa might be heading toward the Gulf to find work in the oil spill. Whatever his plans, deputies just want a chance to speak with the man who reported Odell missing.

"If he knows that information, what else does he know?" questioned Judge Cochran, Marion County Sheriff's Office.

Odell left her home without her cell phone and without her purse. And, although police have found no record of domestic violence issues between the couple, some who know Odell best describe her relationship with Sosa as volatile.

Neighbors told WFTV they don't remember seeing anything out of the ordinary. They said Odell was recently diagnosed with cancer.

"We'll just pray for them and hope for the best," neighbor Robert Toms said.

Deputies believe that Sosa was driving a black Nissan pickup with Florida tag 508KZK.
