• Power outage hits downtown Orlando


    ORLANDO, Fla. - Parts of downtown Orlando were without power for a short time Monday.

    Power went out to a number of homes and businesses just before noon.

    According to city officials the areas that were affected were Orange Avenue to Orange Blossom Trail , Colonial Drive to Central Blvd. 

    An Orlando Utilities Commission outage map showed power out to several hundred customers.

    Power was restored shortly after 12:30 p.m.
