PALM BAY, Fla. — A shooting near a Palm Bay Outback restaurant forced a school to be locked down late Friday morning for around an hour and a half.
Investigators said a man was shot near the Outback Steakhouse on Babcock Road (see map) around 11:00am; his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Detectives were following leads involving information about the suspect.
Area businesses were told to secure their property and Palm Bay High School was locked down just after 11:00am. The lockdown was lifted around 12:30pm.
