DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The repair job on a pothole in the middle of Daytona International Speedway's racetrack seems to be holding strong.
Track officials say the patch shows no wear or tear after two days of stock car racing. They say that means the track will be ready for the summer race season that ends on July 3.
After that, Daytona International will rip out the old racing surface and replace it with a new layer of asphalt.
