A mobile billboard emblazoned with derogatory comments by President Donald Trump about Sen. Ted Cruz will tour Texas, organizers, including Parkland survivor David Hogg, said.
A GoFundMe account raised nearly $10,000 for the billboard after Trump endorsed Cruz, who is in a tight race against Democrat Beto O'Rourke, Friday in a tweet.
"I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October," Trump tweeted. "I'm picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total Endorsement."
I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October. I’m picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total Endorsement. His opponent is a disaster for Texas - weak on Second Amendment, Crime, Borders, Military, and Vets!

Hogg, along with Claude Taylor, who heads the Mad Dog PAC, which helps fund political ads, put the fundraiser together in response to Trump’s endorsement of Cruz.

During the 2016 campaign, Trump frequently ridiculed opponents. Cruz was often referred to by Trump as “Lyin’ Ted.”
"Why would the people of Texas support Ted Cruz when he has accomplished absolutely nothing for them,” Trump tweeted about Cruz. “He is another all talk, no action pol!"
