Meanwhile, property records, obtained by the Orange County Register, indicate that the buyers are Pasadena-based health care professionals who now have a primary suite with an interior Juliet balcony that overlooks the great room, a “Lookout Room” and a breakfast nook in the updated kitchen.

John Cain of Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty handled the listing, while Michael Johnson of Compass represented the buyer, according to the newspaper.

Per the listing, other amenities include:

  • A central spiral staircase topped with a conical roof and spire.
  • An ornate stained-glass ceiling on the upper.
  • Heated floors in the primary bathroom.
  • Bar area, media room. wine cellar and gym.

Meanwhile, the guest house boasts two ensuite rooms, including one within a self-contained apartment, the Register reported.

Although Davis vacated the property in 1950, locals still refer to it as The Bette Davis House.

Per Forbes: “Local lore holds that the house was built in 1929 as a summer home for Charles H. Prisk, a wealthy newspaper publisher and owner of the influential Pasadena Star-News and Long Beach Press-Telegram. It was designed by Laguna Beach artist and architect Aubrey St. Clair, who was responsible for a number of grand waterfront homes designed for area A-listers. Past owners of the three-story, white stucco house have preserved many of the original features from when the actress lived here.”
