The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office told WJAX that both William Joseph Hale and Frank Gilliard Allison were arrested for participating in a “cat and mouse” road rage incident. Both men called 911 and reported that they had been brake-checking and yelling at each other while driving on U.S. 1.

Hale and Allison each admitted to grabbing their guns and firing, deputies told WJAX. Hale’s 5-year-old daughter, who was in the car with him, was hit in the leg. Allison’s 14-year-old daughter, who was in his car, was also hit, WJAX reported.

Both men were charged with attempted murder and taken to the Nassau County Detention Facility.

Allison’s daughter was taken to a hospital with a collapsed lung, WJAX reported.
