Dolores Yamileth Martínez Poncé, 23, of Miami, died when she fell from the 13th floor of the La Clara Palm Beach, a luxury condominium under construction in West Palm Beach, and landed on the second-floor landing, WPTV reported.

The new development has 83 high-rise condominiums, the Sun-Sentinel reported, citing public records.

Poncé worked for Pompano Beach-based Merit Floors, Inc., and lived in Miami-Dade County, the newspaper reported.

According to the West Palm Beach Police Department spokesperson Mike Jachles, no one directly observed Poncé's fall, but other workers saw her fall in their peripheral vision, according to WPTV. Investigators believe she was installing flooring in a 13th-floor unit when she fell, WPEC-TV reported.

West Palm Beach Fire Rescue officials pronounced the woman dead at the scene, Jachles said. The police homicide unit is investigating, although Jachles said detectives do not suspect foul play.
