Couple hides cash in baby diaper boxes, formula to surprise strangers

Between diapers, wipes and formula, keeping baby supplies in stock can be expensive.

But a couple in California is helping any way they can by stuffing cash into random baby products at Target stores in the Los Angeles area.

Krystal and Patrick Duhaney told KABC they struggled financially when they had their first child.

They are now the parents of two with a third on the way, the “Today” show reported.

Krystal Duhaney is also a registered nurse and the founder of Milky Mama, a company that supports breastfeeding families across the globe.

Recently Krystal Duhaney shared a video of her and her husband putting money into diaper boxes and under the lids of formula canisters.

“We hope that the parents that purchase these items have a brighter day when they find our gifts,” she wrote in the Instagram post.

“We recalled how hard it was for us as new parents to afford some of the basics and we could imagine how difficult it must be during this pandemic,” Krystal Duhaney told “Today.”

She said she stuffed about $1,000 into items at various Target stores.
