SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. — True Spidey fans received a delightful treat Tuesday night when the official second trailer for “Spider-Man: No Way Home” dropped, offering a glimpse at the all-star ensemble antagonists the latest film in the storied franchise will feature.
From Doctor Octopus and Electro to Sandman, the Green Goblin and the Lizard, Tom Holland’s “Spider-Man” is going to have his web-spinning hands full, and ecstatic fans got the chance to ask him all about it in an impromptu Q&A.
“No Way Home” stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the live trailer unveiling event in Sherman Oaks, California, featured a surprise appearance by Holland discussing, among other things, what it was like to meet his character’s villains personally, even though several of them originated their roles opposite either Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield.
“No Way Home” picks up after the events of 2019′s “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” which ended with the world learning Spider-Man’s secret identity and with the villain Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, framing him for murder, the entertainment news outlet reported.
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” opens in theaters on Dec. 17.
