LINCOLN, R.I. — Garbage collectors in Rhode Island brought a smile to the kids on their route on the day before Halloween.
Let’s just say they let it go and the cold didn’t bother them anyway.
Mitchell Shallcross, Colby Laferriere and Angel Vargas donned costumes, planning their “Frozen” outfits a month before Halloween.
It looked like Elsa approved their decision to dress up as the queen of Arendelle, her sister Anna and their snowman friend Olaf since snow fell across the town of Lincoln as they made their rounds.
“Everyone loves Frozen and we knew it would make kids smile,” Laferriere told WJAR.
“The kids, it was good to do something for them,” Shallcross told the television station. “When we drove past the bus stops a lot of kids, they thought it was funny. They were laughing. They were clapping, a lot of thumbs-up.”
One of the customers on their route heard his wife laughing, telling him that Anna was getting the trash. Jamal Burley, who is a professional photographer with his wife, started recording.
“I’m just recording them and then all [of] the sudden Olaf pops out and I lost it,” Burley told WJAR. “When we first saw them, we thought it would be hilarious if there was someone for Olaf. Little did we know he was driving the truck.”
The video was posted on social media, getting more than 11,000 shares.

“I feel like this is a good laugh everyone needs. Everyone needs to laugh. Life is too serious at times not to find humor in things,” Burley told WJAR.
